Create a classic background with a paper argyle technique featuring diamond shapes and the gorgeous Sprouts collection. If you liked the Paper Strips Plaid technique, you will love this argyle background idea.
Paper Argyle Background
Gather Purple and Green panels and trim into diamond shapes with an electronic cutting system (I am working with the Brother Scan 'n Cut 2).
Don't have a fancy electronic cutting system? Substitute squares cut with a paper trimmer or punch for the diamond shapes.
Lay the diamonds onto a yellow panel.
Adhere the shapes to the panel with Bookbinding Glue dispensed from a Needle-tipped Applicator.
Lay Kintsugi Dazzles stickers over the diamonds to create the argyle pattern.
Fold the excess stickers to the back of the panel and adhere.
Trim off any access paper hanging over the perimeter of the panel with scissors.
The panel looks perfect paired with the stamped Sprouts images and a sentiment on the front of a card.
Let's take another look at the finished card.
I couldn't stop there, and made two more samples with this fun background technique. Purple and Lt. Green diamonds were adhered to a Dk. Green panel and then added to the front of the folded Purple card base.
Layer two diamonds and form a single row to accent the front of a super sleek slimline card.
I hope you will take a look at your supplies and see how they can be interpreted into a fun paper pieced background.
Happy Crafting!
