Create gorgeous Nuvo Drops turquoise embellishments to pair perfectly with the Turquoise collection.
I have fallen head over heels in love with Nuvo Drops. They are a self-leveling liquid accent that retains its shape when dry and adds dimension to any project.
Nuvo Drops Turquoise - Stamped Gems
Stamp the circle gem image onto a Turquoise Blue panel with Earth Ink. Fill in the entire image with Caribbean Blue Crystal Nuvo Drops and set aside to dry completely before moving onto the next step.
Add Earth Ink to the circle gem stamp and press onto the dry drops to add the crackle texture.
Fussy cut each of the gems with scissors. Note: The smaller gems were free formed shapes and stamped with the crackle texture image once dry.
Add the gem to the center of an Aqua/Gold Rinea Foil punched flower cluster and add to a card panel.
Let's take a closer look at the finished card.
Nuvo Drops Turquoise - Rectangle Medallion
Stamp the rectangle medallion image onto a white panel with Permanent Jet Black Ink.
Trace the areas that resemble ropes with the fine tip of an embossing ink pen.
Sprinkle the wet ink with gold embossing powder.
Heat set to melt the powder.
Fill in the gems with Caribbean Blue and Red Berry Nuvo Crystal Drops. The precision tip on the bottle makes coloring in the small areas a breeze.
Color the largest circle gem with White Blizzard Nuvo Glitter Drops. Set the panel aside to dry completely before moving onto the next step.
Fussy cut the medallion with scissors.
Distress the edges with the Permanent Jet Black Ink for added dimension.
Mat the medallion with black paper and add to the front of a card.
Have fun experimenting with additional stamps. mediums and Nuvo Drop colors.
Here's what can happen with a little more practice! Stamp the medallion in Versamark ink, dust with black embossing powder and heat set to melt. Then continue with the gold ropes embossing and the Nuvo Drops. WOW!
