While at Silver Birch Ranch last month, I challenged my friend (and frequent guest blogger), Lisa Dolezal, to create a set of cards from the new Kids Rule kit. Boy, did she deliver!

Deluxe Card Formula 5

After reviewing the paper designs and cutaparts, Lisa chose to pair the Kids Rule Page with Deluxe Card Formula 5. The result? Fourteen colorful and festive cards perfect for kids or your favorite "kid at heart".

To get started, purchase and download the card formula. Next, take a few moments to decide how you'll pair the papers with the instructions. If you'd like to replicate Lisa's cards, follow the paper assignments below:

Paper A - (2) Black
Paper B - (2) Blue
Paper C - (2) Red
Paper D - (1) Turquoise Plain, (1) Block Print
Paper E - (2) White Linen, (2) Yellow
Paper F - (1) Turquoise

Follow the trimming instructions for the papers listed above. In addition, Lisa trimmed one Confetti Print into six 4x6" pieces (for use on card set C). The remaining Block Print was cut into a variety of panels to further enhance the cards. Are you ready to see her finished greetings?

Set A - (4) 4.25x5.5" Cards

Lisa chose to skip the steps necessary to make shaker elements, and instead made simple, layered cards.

Trim the Page Kit Cutaparts as necessary to fit the card format. Fussy cut elements, adhered with foam adhesive, add dimension.

Add ribbons and other embellishments from the kit to decorate each card. If you start to run short on sentiments, add your favorite stamped greetings. Sentiments from the Hooray collection coordinate beautifully with the kit's youthful feel.

Set B - (4) 4.5x6.25” Split Flap Cards

Embossing folders are a great way to add visual (and literal) texture to the cards. Enamel dots add even more dimension.

Create a handmade tag from a small scrap panel. Add a stamped sentiment, top with ribbon to create a pull tab, and slip into a black mini envelope "pocket".

Set C - (4) 5x7” Nested Panel Cards

Combining two building block charms create a fun, heart-shaped embellishment.

Set D - (2) 3.5x5” Cards

Didn't they turn out great? I hope Lisa's cards inspire you to create cards from your favorite special release. The options are nearly limitless when you pair Page Kits and Club Scrap card making formulas.

Happy crafting!
