Create amazing and dramatic effects with the Inked Halo technique. I discovered this idea on Pinterest and couldn't wait to share it with Lisa. It pairs well with a wide variety of stamps. The possibilities are almost endless! Gather your favorite inks, blending tools and stamps to get started.

Inked Halo Tutorial

Cover a white panel with blossom images from the Magnolia stamps with India Ink. Be sure to rotate the images in different directions when stamping.

Color the images with alcohol markers.

Add shading to the blossoms and flower centers.

Cover the entire background with a very light gray shade of alcohol marker.

Begin blending Ash Ink in a circular motion around the edges of the panel leaving the center untouched.

Complete the blending with India Ink to create a dramatic halo effect around the colorful stamped images.

Magnolia Stamped Card - Lisa

Stamp Magnolia images randomly onto a white panel. Color the background with a light pink alcohol marker.

Ink the edges with a darker pink to create the dramatic halo effect. Add gems and a die cut greeting to complete the card.

Cut a panel from the the Magnolia Card print and blend Ash ink from the edges to create the halo. Add a Magnolia sentiment and embellish with silk flowers.
