Create a quick and easy background with the Ink Lift technique paired with a favorite Club Scrap stencil. The Dahlia Remix stencil has quickly become one of my favorites. I made several backgrounds a few months back, and this was the perfect time to incorporate them into a special Mother's Day card for my Mom!
Ink Lift Technique
Add water reactive inks (Picked Raspberry, Worn Lipstick and Wilted Violet Distress Oxides) to a white mixed media panel with ink applicator brushes.
Place the stencil over the inked panel and spritz lightly with water.
Cover the wet stencil and panel with a paper towel to absorb most of the water and some of the color.
Remove the paper towel and carefully lift the stencil from the panel.
Dry the panel with a heat tool.
Add a stamped sentiment (Spring WOW 2010) and clear sequins adhered with tiny dots of Bookbinding Glue dispensed from a Needle-tipped Applicator.
Layer the art panel onto a Peony Lt. Pink (spoiler alert!) and Sprouts Purple panels and adhere onto a folded Peony Sparkle Pink card base.
