The number one question when we launch a new special release Page kit: "Is there a card kit?" Club Scrap's newest special release, Heartstrings, was no different.

While the answer to that question is usually "Well, no", I'd like to demonstrate how easy it is to create a lovely batch of greeting cards from any combination of papers - special release kit, page kit, or stash - with Club Scrap's vast selection of card making formulas.

Heartstrings Cards in Gift Box

After constructing the original Six Cards in a Drawer project (Coastal) alongside Tricia, I kept a printed copy of the formula to use again in the future. Last week, I paired the formula with the Heartstrings Page Cutaparts and papers (and embellishments) from my stash.

To recreate this project, gather the following:

Six Cards in a Drawer Instructions
Paper A = Red Metallic
Papers B = Teal
Paper C, D, E = Champagne Metallic, Lt. Blue, Ivory
Heartstrings Page Cutaparts

To completed the cards and box, I also added:

(3) Silk Flowers (Legacy 07.22)
Red Checked Ribbon
Wooden Bead
(6) Ivory A2 Envelopes

Trimming and Box Assembly

Sort and trim your papers according to the cutting diagrams and instructions. Score the card bases, box lid and drawer with a ScorPal. Assemble the box and lid according to the instructions.

Locate the largest cutapart sentiment; tear both long edges and adhere to the left side of the lid. Accent with a silk flower.

Deal out the folded card bases, some horizontal and some with a vertical orientation. Dry fit the nesting panels and strips. Trim and sort the cutaparts into usable sentiments vs. plain/journaling tags.

Heartstrings Cards

Nest the "all my heart" cutapart onto the left side of the border strip. Fussy-cut the heart shape; adhere with foam adhesive.

Crop the "heartprint" 4x12 cutapart to 5.25" (preserving the sentiment); add to the inside of the card.

Embellish the ivory card with the "do small things" cutapart and a silk flower.

Crop the two-part title strips to 5.5" wide; add one to the front of the card (accented with a silk flower)...

...and adhere the second half of the sentiment inside.

Trim the "lifetime" sentiment to 5.5"; adhere to the right side of the card. Accent with fussy-cut hearts attached with foam adhesive.

Cut the border strip to 5.5". Crop a printed artwork panel (leftover from trimming a sentiment cutapart) and nest onto the small ivory panel. Trim a champagne metallic scrap to fit the width, top with the heart image (mat with a red metallic scrap); center onto the front of the card.

Add the "love" cutapart inside, accented with nested paper strips.

Staple a scrap of red checked ribbon to the "your heart knows" tag; add to the 2x5.5" red metallic strip. Adhere the fussy-cut heart with foam adhesive.

As luck would have it, you'll save 15% on page and card formulas through 02.11.25!

Now's your chance to transform any page kit (or selection of papers from your stash) into beautiful greeting cards. Once you've purchased a card making formula, recycle it again and again to refresh your card stash. Select card formulas also create coordinating storage boxes that make thoughtful gifts for party hosts, teachers, and more.
