I sure do love the collage/textured look of Heartstrings! I think I gasped out loud when I first saw it.
I'm in desperate need of Valentine's cards ASAP and Deluxe Card Formula #15 was just what I needed to make quick, simple cards.
Deluxe Card Formula #15
This formula transforms six 12x12 papers into eight A2 greetings: Four collage cards and four nested panel cards. Even after trimming and assembly, you'll have enough paper left from the page kit to make scrapbook pages - or more cards.
What I like most about this formula is that there are only two cutting diagrams: Four sheets are trimmed one way, and the remaining two sheets are cut another. You can stack and trim two sheets at a time - saving time and effort!
To recreate my cards, gather the following:
Deluxe Card Formula #15
Paper A, B, C, D = Ivory, Kraft, Pink, Rose
Paper E, F = Rose, Wine
(8) A2 envelopes
Heartstrings Collage Cards
Create texture on each of the four collage squares with a script/text embossing folder. Punch, die cut or fussy-cut hearts from the Cutaparts. Trim Cutapart sentiments to fit the front panels. Accent each with Heart Trim or ribbon. (If needed, supplement the Cutaparts with stamped sentiments.)
Crop border strips to fit the card panels. Stamp the Folded Heart Tag with Valentine-themed phrases (Wine Hybrid Ink), line the inside with a printed scrap, ink edges, and tie with a bit of baker's twine. Create dimension using foam adhesive to adhere select elements.
Nested Panel Cards
Add texture to the smallest panel of each card with an embossing folder. Embellish the anchoring strips with border Cutaparts, ribbon, or Ivory Heart Trim.
Adhere sentiment Cutaparts with foam adhesive to create dimension. Don't forget to make use of the kraft heart that pops out of the folded tag.
