Transform the Heartfelt Kit into a dozen greeting cards.

Transform any special release page kit into cards with one of Club Scrap's many card making formulas. In this case, Tricia recycled the cutting and assembly instructions from the Autumn Glow card kit to make a dozen Heartfelt cards.

Twelve Heartfelt Cards

To get started, gather the following:

Heartfelt Page Kit
Autumn Glow (10.25) Card Kit Instructions
Toile Stamps
White Envelopes: Four each of A2 Envelopes, A6, and A7

Sort, trim and score your papers according to the sketches and cutting diagrams in the Autumn Glow Card Kit Instructions. Tricia utilized the following paper substitutions for each step below:

1. Dk. Pink, Dk. Gray
2. Aqua, Lt. Pink
3. Dk. Pink, Lt. Gray, Lt. Blue, Blue Print
4. Dk. Gray
5. Music Print
6. Music Print

Trim the Heartfelt cutaparts according to the Page Kit instructions steps 7 and 8. During card assembly, you'll modify and adapt each individual cutapart as needed to embellish the inside and outside of the cards.

Note: Each Club Scrap special release includes 16 sheets of paper. The Autumn Glow Card Kit instructions requires eleven, therefore you'll have five 12x12 papers left over. In this case, one each of the Blue Print, Lt. Blue, Aqua, Lt. Gray and Dk. Gray will remain—set these aside for a later project.

Set A: Four 4.25x5.5" Sliding Sentiment Cards

Follow the general guidelines on Page 3 of the instructions to dry fit the trimmed elements. Use the tips below as you assemble and complete the cards.

Use postage-edged scissors* (or a similar die) to cut around the perimeter of the two sentiment cutaparts.

Trim the edges of the small "love" cutapart to mimic a postage stamp. Mat with a Dk. Gray scrap and add to the front panel with a heart cutapart.

Crop the "hearts that beat" sentiment to fit the front of the card; mat with Dk. Gray.

Cut around the perimeter of the small heart image with postage-edged scissors*, mat with a Dk Gray scrap. Nest onto "a heart full" cutapart cropped into a square; mat with a black scrap from your stash for contrast.

Stamp the "sometimes miracles" sentiment (Toile 09.25) with India ink onto the slider mechanism inside the last three cards.

Set B: Four 4.5x6.25" Hinge Cards

Follow the basic guidelines as outlined on Page 4 of the instructions. Dry fit the pieces to create two horizontal and two vertical cards. Finish each card following Tricia's tips below.

Horizontal Cards

Create a collage on the front of each card using assorted cutapart artwork and sentiments.

Tear the edges of the script cutapart to create a round element. Wrap with a length of Lt. Gray ribbon tied with a Baker's Twine bow. Top with two fussy-cut hearts. Crop the "be mine" cutapart with postage-edged scissors*; mat with Dk. Gray and Aqua scraps.

Vertical Cards

Create a collage on each vertical card panel using cutapart artwork and sentiments.

Embellish the top of a journaling tag with a Slot Punch and Lt. Gray ribbon. Trim Dk. Pink to 1.25x1.75"; stamp "you are loved" near the bottom with India ink. Adhere a puffy heart to the top of the panel and center onto the tag to cover the journaling lines. 

Cut the edges of the small heart cutapart with decorative scissors*; adhere to a stamped Aqua panel mat with Dk. Gray.

Stamp a sentiment inside each card.

Set C: Four 5x7" Cards

Follow the instructions on Page 5 to dry fit the trimmed elements. Complete each card using the tips shared below.

Embellish the top of the two remaining journaling tags with a Slot Punch and Lt. Blue ribbon. Trim Lt. Pink to 1.25x1.75"; stamp "you are loved" near the bottom with India ink. Adhere a puffy heart to the top and center onto the tag to cover the journaling lines. 

Trim the "best thing" strip to 6.75"; wrap with Lt. Gray ribbon tied with a Baker's Twine bow and nest onto the left side of the card. 

Cut the "always follow" strip at 4", thread Lt. Gray ribbon through an opening created with a Slot Punch. Center the be-ribboned sentiment onto the Lt. Blue panel adhered in a horizontal position. 

Cut the companion sentiment at 5"; adhere inside the card.
