Create a unique focal point for your greeting cards with the the Fractured Panel Tutorial. This technique is a great way to utilize those skinny scraps in your stash - just add a pack of panels and a card base!
If you are a member of the Club Scrap Chat Group on Facebook, you may already recognize this card style. It is very similar to the sketch I chose for the November Card Sketch Challenge!

Fractured Panel Technique - Step by Step
Stamp a sentiment with India Ink onto a decorated 1-1/2" Aqua square (rotated to take on a diamond shape); mat with 1-5/8" Soft White and 1-3/4" Red squares. Center the sentiment near the top of a 3-3/4x5" stamped background panel, using the zero center on a grid ruler as a guide.
Gather four 1/4x6" Red strips.
Add Bookbinding Glue dispensed from a Needle-tipped Applicator to the first strip.
Position it along one side of the Red diamond, flush with the edges, as shown.
Add glue to the second strip. Position it at a 90 degree angle to the first strip, flush with the edge of the Red mat.
Continue to adhere the remaining strips in the same manner.
Flip the panel to the back side.
Trim away any excess paper with scissors.
Let's take a look at two finished cards featuring this technique.
