The Fly a Kite Cards are playful and festive. This set creates a total of twelve cheerful greetings with envelopes.
If you didn't get a chance to see our Facebook Live video showing the details of the page kit, card kit, hybrid kit and stamped cards, check it out!
Here are samples of the three card styles you'll learn this month.
Fly a Kite - Set A
This card looks pretty innocent and simple when closed, but you're in for a fun surprise when you open it! We'll use text weight duplex paper to easily create a pop-up mechanism and an origami kite.
Fly a Kite - Set B
Set B will yield four color-blocked cards. Trim a series of rectangles in the prep process and arrange them on a card panel in a brick-like pattern. Top it off with a sentiment and origami pinwheel made from the duplex print.
Fly a Kite - Set C
At first glance, the card may seem complex, but it's easy to put together. Layer an origami kite onto a pair of nested panels. Remove the gummed flap of a mini coin envelope (included) and layer with a sentiment. Staple a piece of folded ribbon to the prepared tag and slide into the envelope. Layer onto the folded card base, tucking the kit twine behind the envelope.
We hope you have an "uplifting experience" creating your set of Fly a Kite Cards. Whether you follow our video tutorial and detailed assembly instructions, or simply do your own thing, be sure to share the results on our Facebook chat group!
