Create gorgeous textured shapes with die cut art orphans. I have been playing with a lot of techniques lately and making a boatload of "art orphans" as a result. (An art orphan is a creative background, texture, or technique panel that hasn't found its final home on a project, card or layout.)

I recently recalled that these panels can be die cut and used on all sorts of crafty creations. I asked talented member Lisa Dolezal to join me once again in hosting this fun challenge!

Gather a number of panels created with resist techniques. Die cut these panels into various shapes such as feathers and butterflies.

I created a set of ATCs featuring die cut embellishments paired with panels from the Confetti and Turquoise collections. The sentiment is from Hello, Sunshine. Did you know that member Lynn Levy hosts an ATC Swap on the Chat Group? Get all the details HERE.

Lisa created two cards with her art orphan die cuts. The first features panels created with a Nail Polish marbling technique and pairs perfectly with the Fly A Kite sentiment. The adorable butterfly die cuts are from Stampin' Up.

The Oopsie Daisy sentiment is stamped directly on the Distress Oxides art orphan and then cut with Elizabeth Crafts' stitched die.
