Flower Power Emboss Resist Card

Members received a sample of these unique DryColor sheets with their Gossamer Page and Card kits last December. They are so rich and come in a wide range of colors. I received the 48 color palette called the Sidekick. I selected several colors to coordinate with the Flower Power palette to complete this card.

Stamp the peace symbol onto mixed media (or watercolor) paper with CS® Watermark Ink. Sprinkle the images with white embossing powder and heat set to melt.

Spray the panel generously with water.

Dip a wet paint brush into the DryColor palette to activate the watercolors. Add paint to the images, beginning with the lightest colors first. The embossed areas of the panel will "resist" the paint to create the desired effect.

Continue to add color to the panel, spritzing more water as needed to move the paint around the images.

Remember to leave open space for additional colors, being mindful of which colors will blend well together. Dab excess paint from the embossed areas with a paper towel or dry cloth. Once you are satisfied with your design, set the panel aside to dry completely before moving on to the next step.

Stamp a sentiment onto a white panel. Mat with blue and adhere to the panel with foam adhesive.
