Create the look of a wintery window with the faux frosted glass technique.
Faux Frosted Glass Technique
Add ink to snowflakes (Shades of Winter 2016 Stamps) with Versamark or clear embossing ink.
Stamp the images onto a clear plastic sheet. I like to rescue pieces of plastic packaging headed for the recycling bin.
Dust the snowflakes with Perfect Pearls (Pearl) powder with a light pouncing motion. Brush away excess powder with a soft brush.
Once all of the dust has been removed with the brush, gently buff the snowflakes to a shine with a soft cloth.
Gather papers from the Sea Breeze collection to complete a card. Trim the plastic sheet to layer onto a Lt. Blue panel with the frosted snowflakes side facing down. Pierce holes into the corners.
Insert silver brads to hold the pieces together, avoiding the need for adhesives that may show through the clear plastic.
Stamp a Christmas Thyme 2016 greeting onto a Lt. Blue strip and Slate mat covered in a frosted glass scrap. Layer onto a 4x5.25 Slate panel and a 4.25x5.5" folded Pale Green card base.
Let's take a look at the completed card.
