Welcome to the Creative License Blog Hop! We're so glad you're here. The May Deluxe kit included a fun project called the On the Go Album--a cute mini album made from CD folders. I really like making mini books from these folders as there are many different ways to put them together.

I've seen a recent trend in mini books of adding fun flaps and openings for displaying photos and other ephemera. I thought it would be interesting to incorporate that idea into my version of the On the Go Album.

Lots of flaps means plenty of opportunities for "directions". The letters from the Creative License Jumbo UM were perfect for making custom "instructions" for the various flaps and openings in my book.

I used three CD folders, just like the original On the Go Album project, but instead of connecting them with a folded 5x10", I used a 10x10" folded into quarters. I trimmed an 1/8" slit between the flaps to reduce bulkiness.

The slanted pockets inside each folder also feature decorated flaps.

The center of each of the three CD mailers features a pamphlet-stitched two-signature booklet.

I trimmed a panel from Creative License Lite Chrome Paper and added texture with a diamond-plate embossing folder--it looks so real!

Finally, I covered the spine with the 8.5x11 Deluxe Off-White Print, and added a panel cut from the 8.5x11 CST Light Gray Print to the front cover.

A mini license plate (from my stash) attached with screw-top brads is the perfect finishing touch!
