The Coffeehouse Card kit adds another fun chapter to our series of collections that include all 12x12 papers. I love the flexibility and opportunity with this set-up. If you're not in the mood to follow along with the plan, you're totally free to do your own thing!
We'll trim and score the papers to make a total of twelve cards, four each of three designs including a standing box card, and a pop-up wiper card.
The kit includes printable instructions to help guide the way, but you can also follow along with our step-by-step video. Here's a preview of what we'll accomplish together..
Wanna take a look at this month's fun card styles?
Card Set A
I adore this standing box card structure. One 4.25x11" sheet of paper is scored four times to create the base of the card, which mails flat. A second, smaller sheet is attached to the front of the card base and a small tab connects it to the back of the card. Finally, add a few sentiments, a bow, and a decorated mini tag, and you've got yourself a "hot" greeting!
The side view gives you a better idea of how the card is constructed. You'll make two vertical and two horizontal cards in this style.
Card Set B
Pull outward on the left and right edges of the card to allow the hidden panel to pop up. If you're concerned about figuring out how to assemble the mechanism, be sure to watch the video tutorial. It's a lot easier than it looks!
Card Set C
Finally, sometimes it's nice to create a card by simply folding a piece of paper in half. I am able to allocate lots of nesting mats to create a sophisticated-looking card. Embellish with a silver charm that looks like swirling coffee steam, and a tiny spoon adorned with ribbon.
