Create simply beautiful cards with the Beachcomber stamps. Pair these ocean-themed images with the cool, tranquil paper colors of the collection.
Beachcomber Stamps
Looking for the perfect Inks to pair with the Beachcomber stamps? We recommend Ocean, Lt. Blue, Moss, Jade, and Yellow hybrid inks to coordinate with the May color palette.
The finished size of each card below is 4.25x5.5", unless otherwise noted.
Card 1
Stamp the sea shells and creatures with Lt. Blue, Moss, Yellow and Ocean Hybrid Inks onto a 4x5.25" white panel.
Add the sentiment in Moss Ink to complete the card.
Card 2
Mount the large shell image onto a stamp positioning tool. Tap lightly with Lt. Blue Ink and add to a white panel. Apply Ocean and Jade inks onto portions of the image, and stamp again to create a multi-colored image.
Add a sentiment with Ocean Ink to the left of the shell.
Wrap two lengths of jute around the stamped panel; adhere the ends to back side with clear tape.
Tie a small knot around the two pieces of jute where they intersect.
Add a wavy texture to a 3.5x5.5" Seafoam panel with an embossing folder.
Embellish with sequins (from my stash) adhered with Bookbinding Glue dispensed from a Needle-tipped Applicator. Nest onto a folded card base to complete the card.
Card 3
Stamp the seals and sentiment image onto an art orphan (Distress Inks on a glossy panel) with Ash Ink.
Trim two 4.5" lengths of aqua ribbon with fabric scissors*. Fold one of the ribbons in half and position in the center of the stamped panel.
Wrap the ends to the back and secure with clear tape.
Loop the second piece through the first, and pull taut.
Wrap the ends to the back and secure with clear tape.
Layer with nested panels and adhere to a folded base to complete the card.
Card 4
Stamp the sentiment multiple times onto a Seafoam strip with Ocean Ink.
Stamp the crab image onto a small white panel with Ocean Ink.
Die cut to create a circle* shape.
Create a background on a white panel by repeately stamping the sand dollar image with Yellow Ink.
Adhere a 3.5" Aqua square to the left side of the sand dollar background panel leaving an 1/8" reveal on the top, bottom, and left sides. Wrap a length of yellow ribbon around the left side of the Aqua panel. Adhere the sentiment strip vertically next to the ribbon. Tie a bow with yellow ribbon and add a "Glue Line" to the back.
Adhere the bow to the ribbon. Add the sentiment with Ocean Ink as shown.
Die cut a round mat from Yellow (slightly larger than the stamped circle) and nest together. Add Foam Adhesive Circles (trimmed in half lengthwise) to the back of the Yellow circle.
Remove the backing and adhere beneath the sentiment to complete the card.
Card 5
Stamp the seashell image repeatedly onto a white panel with Lt. Blue, Yellow, and Moss Inks.
Stamp the seals onto a white panel with India Ink. Fussy cut the image with scissors.
Adhere the seals near the bottom of a Lime panel (mat with Aqua). Add the sentiments with India Ink.
Wrap a length of yellow ribbon around the nested panels at an angle and secure on the back with clear tape.
Center the stamped and beribboned panel onto the background panel to complete the card.
Card 6
Add the large shell images to a Seafoam panel with Lt. Blue Ink.
Stamp the shore bird onto a white panel with Ash Ink; die cut with a circle die.
Thread yellow ribbon through the hole in an Aqua Tag; secure with a tiny staple*. Die cut a scalloped circle from Yellow and use to mat the stamped circle. Accent with a Shell Appliqué. Stamp the sentiment with Ash Ink; adhere beneath the shore bird to complete the card.
Card 7
Dust a white panel with an anti-static powder tool*.
Stamp the large shell in Watermark Ink.
Sprinkle the wet image generously with embossing powder. Note: I mixed my powders with some chunky glitter that was too big to stick to the image.
Tap off the excess powder and heat set to melt.
Stamp the sentiment with Ocean Ink beneath the shell. Wrap a length of wide satin ribbon around the right side of the white panel. Tie a loose knot with another piece of the same ribbon. Slide the yellow ribbon through the opening in the loose knot. Tighten to secure.
Stamp the sentiment with Ocean Ink. mat with Yellow. Trim the ends of the ribbons into a swallowtail shape.
