Create an adorable barn book with a pizza box, printables, and papers from the Farm Critters collection.
Barn Book Tutorial
Download the free barn clipart from My Cute Graphics and print onto copy paper. Cut out the barn image with a craft knife and cutting mat to create a template. Set aside the barn image and use the remaining portion for tracing.
Gather two large sections cut from a Club Scrap Pizza Box. Trace around the inside of the paper template onto the pizza box boards. Place the template vertically for two of the barns, and horizontally for the other two barns.
Adhere two pizza box barn shapes together in opposing grain directions with Bookbinding Glue. Repeat for the second set of shapes. Cover the edges of the double-thick barn covers with washi tape included in the Pattern Play Lite kit.
Cut four barn shapes from Farm Critters Red paper. Adhere these pieces to the front, back and insides of the covers. Decorate the front and back covers to mimic the barn clipart.
Pop up the door with foam adhesive squares.
Insert fussy cut chickens behind the doors on the front and back covers.
Make six white pages using the clipart as a guide and adhere to a spine created with a stack the deck binding. Visit Laura's video for a tutorial.
Cover the spine with washi tape.
Adhere the white pages to the inside of the front and back covers with glue.
Print out a variety of animal images from the collection onto Super Smooth White Cover Stock.
Fussy cut Farm Critters and words from the Hybrid Kit and glue to the inside pages.
Note: I created additional words and sayings with the Amplifier font.
Adhere the images to the inside pages with Bookbinding Glue.
