Create dimension and an explosion of color on any card or project with the Stamped Texture Paste Technique.

Last month, Pam Peeling hosted the Technique challenge featuring texture paste. At the time, I created a fun card with the Pattern Play kit and stamps featuring this unique technique.

Let me show you how I made these fun and colorful cards with the Color Me Happy and Paradise kits.

Stamped Texture Paste Tutorial

Trim 9x12 mixed media paper horizontally at 6". Cut each 9x6 horizontally at 4.5", creating four 4.5x6" panels.

Spread a thin layer of texture paste (I use this RECIPE) onto one panel with a palette knife.

Choose a stamp image with thick lines (large Color Me Happy dragonfly from the Jumbo UM) and press directly into the damp texture paste.

Stamp off onto a sheet of black paper. (This panel could be used later for another piece of artwork.) Clean the stamp immediately with a damp paper towel.

Allow panel to dry completely before moving on to the next step.

Dust the stamped panel with several Color Burst Pigment Powders.

Spritz surface with water and allow to dry.

Create more stamped panels to make colorful and dimensional cards.
