A Quilt template can provide amazing inspiration for card designs. Check out this POST for details on another quilt inspired card.
Grab some paper and let's get quilting card making! 1. Cut seven .75x5" strips of paper. I used Up, Up and Away HPoPs (Half Pound of Papers) with Love Ink Light and Dark Pink.
Apply adhesive to a scrap of text weight paper. Attach the strips side by side onto the text weight paper.
Trim away any excess scrap paper. Cut the prepared sheet into .75" strips.
Arrange the strips and adhere at an angle, following the quilt template, onto another piece of text weight paper.
Trim along the dark pink edge to create a straight edge.
Cut a 3.25x3.5" panel from the middle of the design with the straight edge at the top of the trimmer. Trim away any excess scrap text weight paper.
Cut a piece of the dark pink scrap to form a zig zag pattern.
Stamp a sentiment onto a 3.5x4.75" White panel with Earth ink. Adhere the paper quilt to the front of the panel on either side of the sentiment.
Arrange the remaining quilt design scraps to form a second panel.
Attach the matted quilt panels to the front of the Love Ink Greetings to Go card bases and nested panels.
Look for inspiration everywhere . . . even in your favorite quilt.
