Add a graphic element to your pages and cards with color blocking techniques.
There are numerous ways to achieve a color-blocked effect. These are a few of my favorites:
CARDSTOCK PANELS
To create a color-blocked background, layer three panels of coordinating paper onto a 12x12 base. (Mine measures 10x10".) Add cutaparts and embellishments from the Trattoria collection.

MASK & INKS
Create quadrants on a white panel using masks. Ink each area with hybrid ink using an ink applicator tool. Stamp text in India ink. Remove mask, and repeat. Add stamped images and sentiment.
ACRYLIC BLOCK STAMPING
Create different backgrounds with an acrylic stamp block and medium of your choice. Spritz water onto an acrylic block. Apply three shades of Gelatos to the block. Spritz again, stamp onto a white panel, allow to dry. Stamp image and sentiment. Add ribbon and jewel stickers. (A Night at the Met collection.)
Stamp four colors of Oxide inks onto a a plain white panel with a small acrylic block. Spritz lightly with water, allow to dry. Stamp confetti and sentiment (Surprise collection) in India ink.
BRAYER & INK
Use a brayer to apply three stripes of ink onto a plain white panel. Stamp collage image in India ink. Add stamped tag embellishment. (Trattoria collection.)
