The Zest for Life cards are, well, zesty! We had fun putting together our favorite citrusy puns, quality materials, and creative method to make twelve cards with this collection.

This month, you'll learn a brand new formula for a triple-flap card. Plus, there is a new twist on the A6 and A7 cards, as well!

Card Set A

When I first saw a card of this style, I just knew there had to be a clever way to create it. After sketching a few cutting maps, I settled on what came to be "step one" in this month's instructions. Trim four sheets of paper the exact same way to create four colorful cards!

During the video workshop, I'll share some tips on how to make the perfect belly band for a card like this. Check out the orange/white twine wrapped around the belly band of this version.

Card Set B

After scoring the base paper twice, fold the flaps into a triangular shape. For added dimension, emboss the triangles with a citrus-themed embossing folder. (Mine is from Darice.) Prepare a second paper strip the same way, and add a slot with a craft knife. Simply slide the tip of the triangle into the slot to close the card.

Card Set C

Score the Set C card bases four times, and form a cube shape to hold the card upright. Next, cleverly attach a second scored panel to counter-balance the base. While it looks extremely dimensional, the card collapses perfectly flat for mailing. Be careful when attaching the mini envelope. It needs to extend past the left edge of the card base to fit into the envelope when flat.

Are these crazy Zest for Life cards making you feel a little tentative? No worries! Even if you're a beginner, you'll manage just fine if you follow along with our video workshop. Work at your own pace and press pause as needed. It's our goal to help you grow in your skill and efficiency in the year to come. If you haven't already, pick up the card kit and let's get at it.

Squeeze the day!

Tricia
