. . . and my finished version.

I had fun creating my own "prints" for my interpretation of the layout with the Garden Shed Unmounted stamps. The layout was finished with photos from my friend's medical mission trip to Cambodia.

1. Mount the three herb images on the Jumbo UM sheet onto an acrylic block. Stamp at an angle onto a 12x12 Citron Plain with Leaf ink.

2. Re-ink, and continue to stamp the image in angled rows until the entire paper is filled. Stamping at an angle in a "brick" fashion will disguise placement imperfections. Be sure to stamp off the edges of the paper to allow the design pattern to continue.

3. Ink the edges of the paper and splatter with brown and green watercolors.

4. Ink the edges of all layout elements with Earth ink directly from the pad. Stamp the 3.5x5.5" Teal panel with the Jumbo word collage and White Pigment ink.

5. Stamp the half inch strips with assorted images from the Art Nouveau UM sheet.

5. For perfectly aligned placement, position the 3x14" CS® Grid Ruler along the bottom edge of the 12x12 Citron base. Apply adhesive to the panels and rest onto the edge of the ruler before pressing into place.

6. When adding photos to small mats, measure the mat with a Grid Ruler and subtract only 1/8" from the measurement to determine photo size. Here, the square is 1-1/2". Trim the photo to 1-3/8" for a perfect fit.

7. Stamp the butterfly image from the Art Nouveau sheet onto White plain, add watercolors, trim and adhere to the layout.

8. Use your favorite alphabet dies to create a page title.

9. Accent with additional die cuts, if desired.

Don't forget to take advantage of your layout card each month. It's the easiest way to get papers out of your stash and into your scrapbooks!
