What's Up, Buttercup? (What a great way to start a blog post, and a new year!)
If you'd like a full tour of the January collection, tune in to the (second half) of my unboxing video. Made a bungle by turning off the live feed while flipping my camera to view my work surface. Either way, you'll get the idea!
It's a 22 year tradition to begin each year with a bright, cheerful color palette representing the joy and optimism we feel about the months ahead. Check out this happy set of colors! Remember, if you need more of the colors you see, open stock papers are available by the sheet while supplies last.
A Note from Tricia
Part of starting a new year is reflecting on the past. Looking back, I wondered what kept me so busy. But then I realized we launched a new website, released twelve monthly collections, completed seven special releases, and participated in seventeen live events sponsored by various expo organizations. That explains it!
You can find past live events by searching Club Scrap on the SSBE Shop at Home and GLMM VOLUME Events page on YouTube, or One of Kind events on Facebook.
Speaking of "searches," the developer of our blog app was finally able to add a search feature! You'll find it when you visit the blog. Locate the magnifying glass icon at the end of the category list.
Have you been able to enjoy time with family and friends at a deeper level during the past few years? Celebrate your favorite connections with February's Fun and Games collection. The bold, neutral palette with a pop of red complements the neutral artwork and patterns centered around family, friends, and play. You may spot a game spinner and a few of your favorite game pieces/boards along the way. As always, our goal is to keep your photographs central and merely support the experiences you bring to the project. We'll hit the target next month, for sure!
Fonts and Inks
We scour endlessly for the perfect fonts to coordinate with our collections. This month, we selected a playful, yet nicely legible script called Muliany, and complemented it with a lovely serif called Playfair Display.
As you may know, we have a full collection of quality CS® Inks. It's our tradition to recommend a few specific colors that coordinate well with the current collection. Try Fuchsia, Amethyst, Leaf, and Yellow if you plan to do a little stamping within this month's color scheme. (Grab a matching "pack of panels" so you can play to heart's content!)
What's Up, Buttercup? Page Kit
As always, the What's Up, Buttercup? page kit makes eight 12x12 pages. You will also receive a stunning 6x6" masking stencil that can be used to embellish your layouts and countless other projects. (No need to order the stencil separately if you've got a page kit coming!)
What's Up, Buttercup? Card Kit
Call us crazy, but we were able to create fourteen cards and a gift box with lid from just eleven sheets of 12x12 paper and two sheets of cutaparts in the January collection! As always, we've done the math, planning, and education needed to pass the class with flying colors. Join me for a detailed video workshop and make this beautiful set of greetings with me!
What's Up, Buttercup? Stamps
Have fun taking advantage of our 6x8" sheet of clear photo-polymer stamps proudly made in the USA. There are three sets of overlays on the sheet: two flowers and one leaf. Plant seeds of creativity on Julie's blog highlighting her completed cards on Thursday. If you choose to have the stamps automatically added to your kit, they're yours at the best price of $15.75.
Buckle up for a great creative ride this month.
See 'ya later, alligator!
