My Western pages with photos are lookin' like a real variety show! What I'm finding is that the color palette is extremely conducive to, well, just about anything.

Once the pages were ready to go, it took me less than thirty minutes to round up my photos and complete the layouts. Check 'em out.

Here I go with my trusty 8x8" Grid Ruler again. I used it to determine the cropping area of the square photos along the right edge of the spread. I knew beforehand that our faces would survive the trim down to 2.5".

I love how the sunset photo fits right under my prepared "boot cut." Learn more about how that works on the blog about the Western Page Kit.

I'm in the habit of taking photos of signs of places I visit. That way, you can remember where you were! I often don't print the image, but this time, I used it to fill in an open area on the bottom of page six. Worked like a charm!

My last pair of layouts provided a nice landing spot for photos of the Eben Ice Caves in Upper Michigan. Wanting to maximize the size of each photo, I allowed only a 1/16th reveal of the photo mat beneath. (Trim the photo 1/8" smaller than the mat.)

These pages will be "on tour" this year as part of our expo booth to help demonstrate the versatility of our collections. I hope you see all of the potential, as well! Resist the urge to dismiss a theme at first glance, because you never know how it will help you complete some fabulous pages. Happy Scrappin'!
