Our newest team member, Emily, has been at it again! I think we have her hooked on handmade books. She recently completed a Travel Memory Book featuring the Sunny Fields Page kit, and I couldn't wait to share the details.
Sunny Fields Travel Memory Book
To get started, simply gather the supplies listed below to make a book for yourself. Not into Sunny Fields? You can always create your book from a page kit featuring a different theme or color palette to showcase memories from any event or special occasion.

Book Assembly
Because this book is filled with tons of interactive features—it's super-important to follow along with the video tutorial. Tricia's step-by-step guidance, along with helpful tips shared throughout the video, will ensure your project is a success.
Embellishments
Once you've completed assembly of the book structure, it's time to decorate!
Emily chose a large cutapart sentiment as the focal point on her book cover. She added a few of the flat-backed gems for a bit of sparkle. (A photo can be added to the open space on the cutapart later on.) A Sunflower Charm is tied onto the gold elastic cord with a bit of paper twine.
Remove the elastic button closure to open the book and reveal all the interactive goodness inside.
The interior of the book is divided into three distinct sections.
Many of the elements are removable making the addition of photos or ephemera easy. You'll construct a sweet pocket for the left inside cover. Create an insert for the pocket with paper left over after the trimming process. Add visual dimension by inking the edges of the fussy cut elements with Earth CS® Hybrid ink and an Applicator Brush.
The center of the structure is home to several interactive elements.
The smaller, narrow top flap stores an accordion booklet intended for horizontal photos. The booklet is removable, or if you prefer, copy Emily and affix the last page of the accordion to the flap so it becomes a permanent part of the memory book (it won't fall out accidentally when handled).
Beneath the small flaps that hold the accordion booklet, another larger flap opens to reveal a series of altered manila envelopes.
Each envelope is carefully scored and folded to create staggered pockets.
Each pocket holds removable panels or folded booklets perfect for storing more photos and mementos. Enjoy decorating each booklet with mats and cutaparts trimmed to fit each element. The tab-shaped cutaparts are perfect here!
The right inside cover features waterfall "pages" designed to showcase vertical 4x6 photos. Trimming the laser cut flowers creates a fun accent and helps to really stretch the supplies included in the kit.
