Recently, Esther Mendez shared her beautiful Sunflowers stamped cards on Instagram. No one could have predicted the response! Not only were her samples gorgeous, but we loved the two-step stamping technique she used on the cards. We asked her to share a quick tutorial so you, too, can give it a try!
ESTHER'S TWO-STEP STAMPING WITH SUNFLOWERS
Select two stamps from the SunflowersJumbo UM stamps. (Re-released for a limited time only!) To make the sentiment really special, try a two-step stamping technique.
Use washi tape (or painter's tape) to mask off the word "create". Apply ink or marker to remaining words.
Remove tape and stamp onto panel.
Use Versamark pen to ink only the word "create". Align the sentiment and stamp again.
Add gold EP to inked area and heat emboss.
Try this technique with various colors of ink and/or embossing powder.
If you prefer not to use embossing powder, simply use a different ink/marker color on the focal word from the sentiment like below.
If you missed the Sunflowersstamps the first time around, don't delay--they're only available for a short time in very limited quantities.
Thanks for joining me. I hope this post inspires you to give two-step stamping a try!
Esther
