We all know about rubber stamping, but have you ever tried stencil stamping? The best part of this technique is that it is a two for one deal. It's easy! Let me show you how it works.
Stencil Stamping
Lay the Ivy League Scrollwork Stencil onto a 3.75x5" mixed media panel and add a series of small scroll images with Candied Apple Distress Oxide ink and a brush. Cover the adjacent binder ring holes with clear tape to avoid inking those areas.
Spritz the inky stencil with water to reactivate the Distress Oxide ink.
Press the image onto a fresh panel.
Continue stamping with the stencil until the desired background image is achieved.
Let's take a look at my finished cards. I layered the panels onto Ivy League papers and embellished with punched flowers and goodies from the collection. The sentiment is from the Sea Breeze Stamps set stamped in Sapphire Hybrid ink.
This is the second card created with the simple stenciled panel.
Now it's your turn. Select your favorite stencil and start stamping! Simply add your image to the Linky Party below. Happy Crafting!
