Create unique crayon resist backgrounds with the stencil rubbing technique. We discovered this fun idea on Pinterest and couldn't wait to try it with our Club Scrap® stencils.

Stencil Rubbing Technique

Place the Prism Abstract stencil onto the work surface. Lay a panel over the stencil and rub with the side of a wax crayon using firm even pressure.

Apply a variety of Distress Oxide Inks over the image with Ink Applicator brushes.

The wax rubbing will resist the inks. Wipe off any access ink with a dry cloth to reveal the stencil image.

Spritz the inks with water to create tiny droplets.

Set the panel aside to dry.
