I have the first opportunity to play with the unmounted stamps for each monthly kit. I ran out of time before I ran out of ideas with this set of Boardwalk stamps! Take a closer look at the cards I made after pinning the image below so you can remember the ideas for later . . .
JUMBO UM SHEET
CARD #1
Stamp the top half of the beach umbrella a second time, cut with a detail scissors, and layer onto the card panel with foam adhesive.
CARD #2
Stamp an adorable background with white ink and finish with a sentiment stamped in Sapphire ink.
CARD #3
Stamp the banner sentiment onto the Sage card panel, and again onto White. Trim the banner from the White image and layer onto the panel with foam adhesive.
CARD #4
Stamp two crabs onto white, shade with watercolor pencils and trim the shapes. Next, stamp the crabs onto the card panel and layer with the crabs stamped on white to add dimension. Enhance the eyes with a white gel pen. (Tricia hadn't returned from the craft store with her package of 5mm wiggly eyes, or I would have used those!)
ART NOUVEAU UM SHEET
CARD #1
I adore the swimsuits on this sheet! Channel your inner fashion designer and color them in with your favorite art medium.
CARD #2
Not in the mood for coloring? Stamp onto Sage panels with Sapphire ink and add a few quick accents with a white gel pen.
CARD #3
If you happen to own a White Pigment ink pad from Club Scrap, skip the coloring step altogether, and simply stamp onto Deep Blue with white ink and call it done. If that suits you.
I couldn't stop with the swimsuits. Stamp onto the wood veneer tags with India Black ink and shade with watercolor pencils. String with tri-colored twine and you've got suits hanging on a line.
GREETING UM SHEET
CARD #1
This stamp sheet has so much potential! I used the border and circle image to add interest to the perimeter of this card panel and finished it with the umbrella and sentiment.
CARD #2
Stamped ice cream cones on Sage and cut out cones, then on white to color ice cream scoops
Stamp the ice cream cone three times onto Sage and White. Trim the Sage cones and White scoops from the paper and layer onto a Sea Blue panel. Add "flavors" with watercolor.
CARD #3
Shade the stamped images with a white gel pen and layer the banner with foam adhesive. (The banner is open so you can add any word(s) to the strip, but the word "summer" is designed to fit perfectly.)
That's the end of the Boardwalk for now. I wish you a wonderfully creative weekend!
