Club Scrap's paper crafting formulas are sheer genius! With each 6 in 60 card making formula, you'll learn how to create six cards in approximately one hour from just five sheets of paper. There are three downloadable versions to choose from, each featuring three different card structures. Read on to learn how I created a beautiful batch of Gossamer cards with the 6 in 60 Regatta instructions download.

Card Formula Prep

Creating with the 6 in 60 card formulas is easy: First, gather five 12x12 papers, some favorite stamps, and ribbons. Next, substitute papers for those listed in the instructions and follow the cutting formulas to trim the pieces. Finally, assemble the cards using photos of the finished cards as a guide. Add stamped sentiments, artwork, ribbons and other embellishments as desired.

To recreate my cards, use the following paper substitutions from the Gossamer collection:

Paper A, B, C , D (Plains): Plum, Plum Metallic, Black Metallic, Roost Taupe Metallic
Print: Card Kit Print
Cutapart: Plain White for stamping

The formula creates two each of three different card structures, for a total of six cards.

Gossamer Cards

Set A - 4.25x5.5" Single-fold Cards

After assembling the basic card structure, create a subtle background on the plain white panel: Apply a combination of Amethyst, Fuchsia, and Sapphire Hybrid ink over the Dragonfly Masking Stencil with an applicator brush. Stamp the sentiment with India ink.

For the card on the left, tie a length of black twine around the stamped panel before adhering it to the card. For the card on the right, add Gossamer Wings to the corner of the panel with a bit of Bookbinding Glue.

Stamp the large dragonfly image with India ink onto the inner white panel. Color the image with a water brush and watercolor paint (from the Peerless Watercolor sheet included in the Gossamer kit). Add a stamped sentiment (from stash). Adhere the panel to the inside of the card, anchored with a paper scrap.

Set B - 4.5x6.25” Cards

The Regatta instructions for Set B create a free-standing card. While following the same trimming instructions for step #3, I altered the scoring measurements to create a single-fold card instead. (Score the 6.25x8.5 at 4.5".) Of course, this simple change had a snowball effect - making it necessary to alter the trimming instructions for the print as well.

Step #1: Trim one Print at 6". Cut one 6x12 at 8.25, 4.5 and 2.25" - yielding two 3.75x6 and two 2.25 panels for card set B.

Stamp the sentiment and large firefly image onto the white panel with India ink. Add the larger "glow" image with Yellow Hybrid ink. Add a bit of color to the firefly with a water brush and yellow (Peerless) watercolor paint.

Add the jar image, firefly cluster, and a stamped sentiment with India ink to the inside white panel. Stamp the small "glow" image over each firefly with Yellow Hybrid ink.

Set C - 3.5x8.5” Slimline Cards

Stamp the sentiment with India ink. Add several "glow" images with Yellow ink. Lightly color the white panel with Amethyst and Fuchsia ink. Add three self-adhesive jewels to one corner of the sentiment panel.

The inside panel features a background created by applying ink to the masking stencil with Amethyst, Fuchsia and Sapphire Hybrid ink. (Stamp sentiment from my stash.)

Repeat the same steps to complete the second card.

So what do you think? I just love these three card styles (and the ease of altering the free-standing card if desired). Everything came together so quickly and easily, with no waste!
