Sea Life Page Kit
Every monthly Club Scrap Page Kit creates eight beautiful pages. While I rarely use all of them for a single occasion or event, the August layouts were perfect for documenting memories from our trip to the Maldives—almost exactly one year ago.
Finished Layouts
Layout 1 & 2
These pages feature photos from our arrival at the airport on the main island. From there we were to take a high speed boat to our island resort.
On this layout, I made slight adjustments to the trio of photo mats on the right page. The ideal photo size was 3.5x4.25", however, two of my photos were vertical—so only 4" wide. The solution? Grab purple plain from the Sea Life Pack of Panels, trim to 3.5x4.25", and nest a 3.25x4" photo on top.
To maintain balance, the double-matted photos were positioned at the top and bottom of the stack; the middle photo features the original single mat.
Layout 3 & 4
Once we arrived at the resort, we were taken to our over-the-water villas on the south end of the island. The suites were lovely and the views from the deck were absolutely magnificent.
Since I had more photos to display that the original layout had space for, I made quite a few changes to the right page: I skipped the cutapart artwork on the twin vertical panels and trimmed purple plain (Pack of Panels) as a mat for a single photo to span the space. I separated the blue and white double mats and used each independently on the page.
I recreated the mini collage in the center of the arrangement to mimic that of Tricia's original design.
Layout 5 & 6
Who knew the Indian Ocean and the beaches of the Maldives were as stunning as the Caribbean?
On the left side of the layout, I shifted the embellishments and added an extra vertical photo mat with White.
On the right side, I cropped a single photo, mat with purple (Pack of Panels), and centered it over the two mini mats at the bottom of the page.
Layout 7 & 8
Our resort had a huge infinity pool that overlooked a cove on the west side of the island. We spent a great deal of time there. Most nights, we stayed to watch the sunset before heading back to our villa to shower and dress for dinner.
I just love the soft colors of the August Page Kit—they complement all of my photos beautifully! After trimming* and assembling the pages, it took me a just a little over an hour to select, crop and adhere the photos.
