As the gift-giving season approaches, I find myself itching to make holiday gifts for friends and family. Since paper crafting is my passion, handmade gifts not only bring joy to the recipient, but to me as well. My latest project is a Flexi Planner featuring the Rock Star Remix collection.
This handy planner will help keep the teen, tween or 80s music lover in your life organized with divided sections for each of the four types of printed inserts: lined pages, graph paper, To Do list, and blank calendar pages.
To create this 6.25x8.75" Flexi Planner with a slipcase for storage, download the Flexi Planner instructions from our online store. Or to make things even easier, pick up the Flexi Planner Components kit. The components kit includes the printed inserts along with all of the other fun doo-dads needed to complete the project.
Next, follow the cutting diagrams and instructions to complete the book and slipcase. To replicate my version using the Rock Star Remix Page Kit, use the following paper assignments: Paper A: Red Plain, Paper B: Red Metallic, Paper C: Ivory, Paper D: Black, Paper E: Microphone Print, Paper F: Guitar Print.
After construction is complete, the fun part begins - decorating! The bold colors and graphics of the Rock Star Remix really pop on this project. There are tons of fun embellishments in this collection, including the gold wings, guitar charms, and rhinestone studded leather cord.
Let's take a look at the inside...
The project features two altered manila envelopes. The "clasp" side creates a handy place to stash memorabilia, receipts and more.
While the other end creates a pocket that holds a removable panel for photos or other artwork.
I love the practicality and usefulness of this project. There are so many ways to customize the planner to fit the needs and personality of the recipient.
