Create Rainy Day pages using May's Bonus Page Formula! The cutting instructions are provided to Page and Card Kit members in an exclusive email. Be sure to check out my Facebook Live presentation on the Club Scrap Chat Group where I shared lots of tips for completing the layout.

Rainy Day Pages

Download the May 2021 Bonus Formula. Gather five 12x12 papers and trim according to the instructions. Arrange the cut pieces as shown in the finished sketch or switch things up by rotating the pages as desired.

To recreate my layout, gather one Rainy Day Umbrella Print (A), and the following plains: Sky (B), Rust (C) and two Gold (D).

Rotate the right page 90 degrees to accommodate two portrait style photos. The bonus page formula sketches allow so much flexibility when choosing the photos.

This formula presented me with the opportunity to crop and highlight many of the ocean photos I took at the beach. Create the page title with left over alphabet stickers from a previous monthly collection. Swipe each letter with Sapphire ink to coordinate with the blue in the photos.

Stamp the rain drop images in White pigment Ink onto the Sky strips. Adding Clear Dimensional Acrylic over the stamped images mimics the appearance of real water droplets.

Follow Tricia's Ribbon Basics trick to thread the white ribbon through a punched hole in the Sky anchor strip.

Tuck loops of the same ribbon behind the photo on the right page. (The ribbon also masks the umbrella print that ended up on its side due to the page rotation.)

I love combining my collections creating a mash up of different themes. In this case, the Regatta stamped sentiment was perfect and the enamel dots made nice accents on each of the pages.

Let's take another look at my finished pages.

I hope you will join me on the Chat Group for more Facebook Live monthly bonus formula assembly tips. Happy scrapping!

Julie
