Create quick and easy cards with the pinwheel technique. Lisa and I follow Wendy Lee on Instagram and love how she turned strips of scrap paper into amazing cards! Check out the video tutorial here.

Pinwheel Technique (feat. Blue Christmas)

Gather strips Dk. Blue that are 3/4" wide and at least 4" long. Trim 3/4" squares from the Blue Christmas Duplex Print.

Cut the small squares into right triangles with a craft knife and grid ruler as shown.

Add Bookbinding Glue to the back of the triangle .

Position the triangle along one short edge of the Dk. Blue strip as shown. It is very important that all of the triangles are adhered to the strips in this manner. Repeat this for the remaining three Dk. Blue strips.

Mat a 3-3/4x5 Lt. Blue panel with a 4x5-1/4" Silver. Adhere the first Dk. Blue strip horizontally onto the layered papers.

Position and adhere the second strip (vertically) next to the first strip as shown. Repeat for the remaining strips to form the pinwheel shape.

Trim any paper that extends beyond the edges of the panel with scissors.

Place the decorated panel into a snowflake folder and run through an embossing machine.

I love the added texture and dimension!

Punch a tiny snowflake from the top of the Blue Christmas Dazzles carrier sheet.

Remove the backing and adhere to the center of the pinwheel.

Add the panel to a 4-1/4x5-1/2" folded card base; adhere a Merry Christmas Dazzles to complete the card.
