Handmade paper flowers add a dramatic touch to the front of any greeting card.
Create these delicate blossoms using dies and punches combined with Dahlia's exquisite papers. Select a variety of sizes of daisy style punches and dies. Punch and die cut varying shapes from the Purple to form the outer petals and Yellow for the centers.
Shape the petals with a foam pad and a ball stylus. I learned my flower making skills from the book, Paper Bouquet. Stack and adhere each flower together with Bookbinding Glue.
Next, create a background for the card. Stamp onto a 3.75x5" mixed media art panel with Jumbo UM splatter image and Versamark ink. Sprinkle with clear embossing powder and heat to melt.
Sprinkle with Turquoise, Lime Green and Chartreuse Caribbean Color Burst powders.
Spritz with water and dry. Rub over the embossed area with a damp cloth to remove any excess color.
Add the Dahlia Art Nouveau UM sentiment to the panel with India Ink.
Embellish with the Butterfly Washi Tape and White Jewel Dazzles.
Attach the paper dahlias to complete the card.
I hope these paper flowers brighten your day!
