Not only does Club Scrap help members use the kits they receive, we help them use what they already have. The Pacific Northwest Bonus Formula is a perfect example - it's just one of many benefits of being a Club member. After completing the monthly kit, gather papers from your stash and use the monthly bonus formula to scrap even more layouts!

THE FORMULA

The September bonus formula transforms just five sheets of paper into a really cool "patchwork" style two-page spread. The pieces nest together and have space to showcase ten or more photos.

KAREN'S PACIFIC NORTHWEST LAYOUT #1

To replicate my layout, gather one Forest Print, one Moss, one Sky, and two Pine plains from the Pacific Northwest collection.

Swap the left and right pages as shown in the bonus sketch. Add washi tape to the border strips on both pages.

Stamp sentiments onto scraps of Forest print (left over from another project) and crop to fit the Moss strips. Crop two vertical photos to span the horizontal mats.

Much like on the left page, one vertical photo is cropped to span two smaller horizontal mats. Tie moss ribbon onto the largest photo mat.

KAREN'S PACIFIC NORTHWEST LAYOUT #2

For the second layout, gather one Card Kit Print, one Pine, one Pine Linen, and two Sky plains.

Swap the left and right pages as shown in the bonus sketch. Use a Corner Chomper on the 1/2" setting on the mats at the four outside corners of each page. Create a page title using a computer.

Crop photos to fit the remaining open spaces. Stamp sentiment onto a 1/2" wide scrap of Sea Blue, adhere to bottom photo.

On the right side, rotate the page 90 degrees so the border strip is on the right edge.

Mat top photo with brown plain (from stash). Stamp bird silhouette onto a Sea Blue scrap using the CS Watermark ink pad. Stamp sentiment below in India ink.

Stencil "EXPLORE" onto the border strip using Spruce ink and an applicator brush.

JULIE'S BEAUTIFUL NOISE LAYOUT

The beauty of these formulas is they work with any paper! Julie opted to use papers from the Beautiful Noise collection: One each of blue print, burgundy and brown plain, and two dark blue for the base of the layout. Combined with the Pacific Northwest bonus formula, her pages have a completely different look and feel.

Rotating the left page 180 degrees allowed Julie to place her page title at the top of the layout.

Turning the right page clockwise 90 degrees allows for even more flexibility for photo placement. I just love that she cropped a lily pond photo to fit the vertical narrow strip. Tying three coordinating ribbons below the photo fills the rest of the border strip, mirroring the title strip on the left page. Julie fit an incredible fourteen photos on her two-page spread!
