Right off the bat, I admit to having a serious love affair with the Constellations Art Nouveau Stamps. Here is what I've been up to with this heart throb of mine...the sphere stamp.
RAISED WISH
1. Stamp the sphere image once onto a card panel and once onto a scrap with India Black ink.
2. Use a circle cutter to remove the sphere from the image on the scrap. (I used a 2-3/8" circle, but choose any similar size, or hand cut if desired.)
3. Attach the circle to the card panel with foam adhesive.
4. Add a stamped greeting , embellish and enjoy!
MASKED SPHERE
1. Use circle cutter to create a mask for the sphere image. Sponge ink directly onto stamped card panel with a CS Foam Applicator.
(Tricia did this technique on the nifty card below, but let's take it a step further.)
2. Cover the stamped sphere image with the circle portion of the mask, and sponge ink around the outside of the sphere.
3. Add more ink colors and color mists to the outside edges of the card panel.
4. Enjoy this colorful variation!
SPHERE WITH DIMENSION
1. Rubber stamp the sphere seven times, one onto a card panel and six onto a separate sheet. (NOTE: I only did five extra, but now that I put this together, I think six would look better.) Cut out the six spheres.
2. Score each sphere down the center and fold in half with the stamped side on the inside of the fold.
3. Brush a thin layer of Bookbinding Glue onto each half and attach back to back.
4. Attach the layered spheres to the card panel, aligned with the sphere on the original stamped image.
5. Enjoy the dimension!
FLOATING HEART
1. Stamp the sphere onto a card panel and remove circle.
2. Nest the panel onto a card base and trace the location of the open circle onto the front flap of the card.
3. Remove the traced circle from the card base.
4. Freehand cut or punch out two hearts that fit within the circle.
5. Apply adhesive onto the front of the card panel and around the circular opening. Center a heart into the opening and attach a piece of waxed linen thread through the center of the heart.
6. Center the card panel onto the card base.
7. Align the second heart over the first to sandwich the thread in between.
8. With Valentine's Day right around the corner, this will make a perfect greeting for someone special!
I hope you enjoy a love affair with your Art Nouveau stamps as much as I did. Wishing you lots of crafting time and stolen moments with your favorite stamps in 2015!
