Create a bit of Make 'n Take magic when you pair this fun page formula (taught at the booth at Great Lakes Mega Meet May 2023) with the papers from Club Scrap's November 2022 collection.
Make 'n Take Magic
Tricia invited me to take this formula for a spin a few months back. I followed the detailed cutting instructions and assembled the layout according to the sketch.
The next step was to gather a few items from the Whimsy collection to embellish the pages. I chose a few of the border strip cutaparts, gems, black circle tags and ribbons.
Just like any good magician, I usually have a few tricks up my sleeve when it comes to embellishing my pages.
Trim the long border strip in half. Rearrange the pieces so the text is on the left. (This allows the text to be visible and not hidden beneath the orange photo mat at the top of the page.)
Add similar embellishments to both pages to add balance to the layout. In this case, I chose the black circle tags - one with a colorful flower on the left and a journalling spot for the right. Thread a bit of white ribbon through a hole in each tag and secure with a tiny bit of black waxed linen thread.
Adhere the swirl gems along the border strips on each page.
Select photos for each photo mat provided on the layout - I usually begin by "dealing them out" on the layout, then cropping them to fit the mats.
I just love how Shannon's photos from Hawaii compliment the colors in the Whimsy collection!
