My answer is always the same: With Club Scrap's card making and project formulas, it's easy to transform any kit into greeting cards. I can't wait to show you what I made with the Lavender Fields Remix kit!
Lavender Fields Remix Notecard Carrier and Cards
The first step, and usually the most difficult one, is choosing from among the many card formulas available. Due to the beauty of the Lavender Fields theme, I knew it would make beautiful cards, but could also be so much more. With that in mind, I chose to pair it with the Notecard Carrier Project Instructions. This project formula creates a handy card carrier that is home to eight 4.25x5.5" cards.
The Notecard Carrier instructions require seven 12x12 papers. Since our special releases include 16 sheets of paper (instead of the twelve in a typical page kit) you can double the formula to create two notecard carriers and 16 cards.
Getting Started
Begin with the purchase and download of the printable project instructions. Next, gather the following:
Lavender Fields Remix Page Kit
Steel Gray Folding Board
Hook & Loop Dots
A2 Envelopes (available in white or ivory)
Script Print Notecard Carrier
Utilize the following paper assignments to make the first set of cards and notecard carrier:
1 - (2) Light Green
2 - Steel Gray Folding Board (reserve the second folio for later)
3 - Script Print
4 - Field Print
5 - Dark Green, Purple, White
The trimming instructions provide the elements to create the folio structure, as well as enough card bases, panels and strips to make eight greeting cards. The page kit also includes printed cutaparts, ribbons and other embellishments to decorate the cards.
Remove the belly band and open the folio to reveal two pockets with tabbed closures inside. The pockets each hold four A2 cards with envelopes.
A pair of punched circles seal the seam of the belly band. Embellish with the mini perfume bottle.
Let's take a closer look at the cards inside:
Trim the remaining 12x12 papers as panels for the cards and/or mats for the cutapart elements.
Round the corners of the purple panel to mimic the shape of bottom of the muslin bag. Fussy cut the bucket image, adhere to the bag with Bookbinding Glue. Crop a journaling prompt to fit inside the bag.
Embellish each card with ribbons and goodies from the kit.
Field Print Notecard Carrier
Going through the instructions again with a second set of papers creates another notecard carrier and eight more cards.
Utilize the following paper assignments for the second set:
1 - (2) White
2 - Steel Gray Folding Board Folio (from above)
3 - Field Print
4 - Lavender Metallic
5 - Dark Green, Purple, Script Print
Here's a detailed look at the eight cards inside:
Isolate a lavender sprig from the Field Print to enhance the card on the left. Fussy cut the word "joy" from the journaling prompt and adhere to the script printed cutapart. Top with a wreath charm for the card on the right.
