I constructed this pair of albums for my daughter and I while we were at the Scrapbooking Retreat at Silver Birch Ranch in November. There's one for each of us—I hope to fill them with memories of our weekend together.

Identical or Fraternal?
To make two identical albums, divide the papers equally—one sheet of each—and utilize the same paper assignments during trimming and assembly process.
To create fraternal twin albums, sort the papers randomly, or simply switch some of the paper assignments, like I did. Since the In Tents kit is a special release, it includes 16 sheets of paper, instead of the usual twelve included in a monthly page kit. Therefore, you'll want to select and trim only twelve sheets—six for each book. (The four remaining papers can be trimmed and used throughout the books as mats, etc.)
To replicate my In Tents albums, split twelve 12x12 papers from the kit equally into two piles, one each of four plains and one of each print. I've listed the paper assignments utilized for each book below.
"Trees" Book Cover
The first trifold album cover features that gorgeous Spruce Tree Woodcut from the kit. In lieu of the magnetic closure, I simplified construction by choosing self-adhesive Hook and Loop Dots for all of the closures. One compass charm fits neatly onto the cover flap.
For the "trees" book, utilize the following paper assignments:
- Paper A: Orange
- Paper B: Dusty Blue
- Paper C: Yellow
- Paper D: Brown
- Paper E: Sm. Tent Print
- Paper F: Lg. Tent Print
Just as the "trifold" name indicates, the interior of the book is divided into three main sections. The section on the left features two pamphlet-style fold-outs with four panels each.
The center section is made up of waterfall panels.
Finally, the right section of the trifold album features a pocket with a hook and loop closure that serves as home to a removable booklet insert. A round antique brass charm tied with ribbon adds a touch of dimension.
Open the flap to remove the insert featuring accordion folded pages that hold more photos and embellishments.
"Tent" Book Cover
A bit of creative trimming ensured the large tent artwork is featured on the cover of the second book. I repeated the compass charm on the cover flap.
I swapped the Orange and Brown papers to give the second book it's own "personality".

The waterfall pages hold so many photos! Crop cutaparts to fit the back side of select waterfall panels.
Repeat the charm with ribbon bow on the pocket flap.
Because of the paper swap, this time the pocket structure is Brown and the removable booklet is constructed with Orange.
Don't forget to add mats and embellishments to the booklet pages as well.
And there you have it! Two 5x7" Trifold Albums from a single Page Kit—one to keep and one to give away. Or, make two gifts for the price of one. Either way, it's an amazing value!
