A Note from Tricia
For those of you who joined us at recent expos held in Kansas City and Manchester, welcome! We are so thrilled to have you in the family. If you haven't already, check in at the Facebook Chat Group. We're a friendly and encouraging bunch!
We'd love to see you at the Stamp and Scrapbook Expo in Schaumburg, IL, on August 16-17. Registration is open and workshops are filling up quickly. Bring a friend to our free make 'n take at the booth. (It's like a miniature CS experience!)
Lastly, many of you have been asking about the dates for next year's Retreats, typically held in August and October. After twenty years, I have made the difficult decision to allow myself and my team to take an indefinite break from hosting the events. The choice is made even more difficult by the fact that many of you use the Retreat as an opportunity to connect with very dear friends from all around the world. We can't thank you enough for the years upon years of your dedication to attending. I know it has been a substantial investment of your time and resources.
I could write endless paragraphs explaining all of the reasons why I feel this decision, while painful, is the right one for Club Scrap. If you have attended in the past, you know we have worked arduously to set a very high standard for the best possible creative experience.
As we take a collective breath, we will continue to explore the best ways to remain connected and to nourish the amazing friendships we've formed. We've learned so much together, and I can't wait to discover what our next gatherings will bring. It's going to be awesome!
What's Ahead?
Autumn is coming, and with that, we will be enjoying the beauty of Falling Leaves! We've gathered a fiery color palette complemented by a rich shade of brown. Perhaps it's a good time to add the word psithurism to your vocabulary. It references "the sound of wind in trees or rustling leaves." Get the hot cider and pumpkin latte ready, and watch for the spoiler on August 27th.
Inks and Fonts
Stamp your art out this month with the following recommended CS® Hybrid ink colors: Sapphire, Peridot, Lagoon, Ocean, and Neon Green. To enhance your High Tide pages or hybrid projects with matching page titles and captions, download the font called "Smithen Script."
High Tide Page Kit
If you don't normally peek at the video tutorials, this might be a great month to dive in and learn more about some of the tips and tricks used to create the above layouts. As always, if you prefer to "do your own thing," that's awesome, too!

Don't forget about the super-cool sheet of rubber stamps we've designed to coordinate with the High Tide collection. (Who knew there were so many of you that wanted an octopus stamp?)
