I find myself saying it every month . . . but the Falling Leaves collection is beautiful! Member Beth Moran consistently sends theme ideas to us throughout the year, and she shared this concept along with suggestions for the color palette, style, and many of the sentiments!

A Note from Tricia

I will miss the warm weather and sunshine, but I always love the arrival of fall with its crisp, fresh air, and a return to a more regular work/life routine. Our design team will meet in less than two weeks to plan the kit themes and color palettes for 2020, and we're also reviewing our expo schedule. It's going to be another busy and fun year in the making!

As school resumes and your schedule settles in for the year, I hope you get a chance to catch up on projects, card kits and page kits that may have accumulated over the active summer months. (Or, should I say . . . years?) Consider joining us for the monthly birthday or ATC swap to make use of your stash, and participate in one of the many challenges we offer on our private Facebook Chat Group.

If you're new around here, please be sure to watch your email for important membership information. If you need help, the staff and your fellow members are always happy to bring you up to speed. Thanks for joining the CS® Family!

What's Ahead?

Get ready to pack your bags and hit the road with October's Expeditions theme. This collection encompasses all types of travel to every sort of place. The earthy color palette includes a beautiful splash of blue to keep it cheerful. All aboard? We hope so!

Inks and Fonts

If you plan to do a little stamping with your new collection, select Earth, Tangerine and Ruby CS® inks to coordinate well with the papers. Jacqueline selected a beautiful display font for the Falling Leaves sentiments and word art called Melanic Black.

In addition to the step by step trimming, filing and assembly instructions, the full video tutorial also includes information about how to create two types of bows. Use ribbon from the page kit to tie a lovely "basic bow" and create a flat "three-part bow" perfect for pages and cards.

Falling Leaves Card Kit

Learn how to cleverly fold a sheet of 8.5x11 paper into an adorable double pocket card in addition to two other fun structures in this month's card kit tutorial. Never a dull moment of cardmaking here! Watch a quick preview of the card kit in action . . .

Falling Leaves Stamps

If you're into making hand stamped cards, this is a great month to include the jumbo sheet of unmounted stamps in your kit. Remember, to get the best price on the sheet of stamps, be sure to subscribe to receive it monthly.

Lastly, remember that you can also subscribe to our hybrid kit. Download and print your own artwork or create digital layouts with the elements in the collection. We've all added a new fall leaves SVG cut file to the hybrid store. Check it out!

We have lots of fun in store for the month. Mark your calendar for a special "Falling for Handmade Paper" blog event on September 21. Have a splendid fall season!
