Heroes Photo Twistabout
This project is very near and dear to my heart. It includes photos from my career as an EMT - starting July 1990 until my retirement in July 2020. The artwork and sentiments in the Heroes collection are absolutely perfect for documenting memories from this chapter in my life.
To replicate my project, pair the Heroes Page Kit with the Photo Twistabout Components kit in Gray. After constructing the box framework, paint the book board with gray acrylic craft paint, if desired.
During the trimming process, use the following paper assignments:
Step 1 = Brown, White Linen, Salute Print (2) Red
Step 2 = Red, Brown
Step 3 = White Linen
Step 4 = Light Blue
Step 5 = Dark Blue
Step 6 = Flag Print
Step 7 = Flag Print
Step 8 = Salute Print
I kept the book covers simple, allowing the Flag Print and Salute Print to shine on their own.
To keep the books organized, I separated 30 years of pictures into four groups. One book for my early days, another with photos of my favorite partners over the years. The other two books include training photos and memories of my favorite co-workers.
Each book's interior features a mix of trifold-style and regular (landscape) pages. Round the corners of each flap on the trifold pages.
The trifold pages open to reveal plenty of room for your photos.
Trim the remaining scraps and 12x12 papers as photo mats for the inside pages, to nest with border strips, or as mats for the fold-out flaps.
Crop the Cutapart sentiments to fit the book. Add ribbon accents.
The final pages document my retirement party.
