Last week, Tricia released a new online workshop: The Interactive Waterfall Book. A reboot of the original Interactive Journal, this updated version holds TONS of photos. All the little nooks and crannies make the book fun to explore. Keep reading to learn how to create a gorgeous 6x8" Interactive Waterfall Book featuring Club Scrap's Harbor Town Page Kit.

Gather Supplies

To recreate this project, gather the following supplies and tools:

Harbor Town Page Kit
Interactive Waterfall Book Components
CS® Bookbinding Glue
Needle-tipped Applicator
12” Paper Trimmer
3x14" Grid Ruler
Scor Pal 1/8s
Accordion Pocket File
Bone Folder
3 in 1 Corner Rounder
Pencil
Scissors

Once you've downloaded the written instructions, utilize the paper substitutions listed below as you sort and trim your papers.

Paper A = Yellow
Paper B = Red
Paper C = Blue
Paper D = Green
Paper E = Seagull Print
Paper F = Sunny Sky Print

I strongly encourage you to watch the video tutorial before trimming anything. The project is fairly involved, but it's totally achievable with the help of Tricia's step-by-step guidance. Once the project is complete, prepare to be super-impressed with yourself!

Decorate the front cover with a cutapart sentiment, Enamel Dots and a Bottle Cap/Epoxy Sticker accent.

Harbor Town Interactive Waterfall Book

The project is aptly named due to a number unique interactive elements inside. A clever pocket built into the front cover features a two-part closure that stores a removable folio.

Open the hook and loop closures to access the folio.

Decorate the interior and exterior of the folio by adapting cutaparts, photo mats and other embellishments from the Page Kit.

Decorate the journal's inside pages, pockets and inserts with pre-cut photo mats, cutaparts, bottle caps, etc.

Staple ribbons to cutapart tags, too!

To make room for even more memories, the inside back cover features a set of waterfall pages that will hold more than a dozen photos.

This project can be a bit more challenging than others, but it's well worth the extra effort to transform your favorite CS® Page Kit into a really impressive handmade keepsake. Just imagine possibilities - the ability to customize each book to the personality of the recipient or to document a special event/occasion.

We invite you to share your finished artwork on our Facebook Chat Group. Not a member of the group yet? Simply answer a few questions and we'll get your request processed in no time!
