Create a batch of greeting and artist trading cards (ATCs) with Happy Life Stamps. Tricia shared a fun and simple formula to make six cards on a recent LIVE and Karen mentioned the scraps would be perfect for making ATCs.
I couldn't wait to make some samples using the January collection.
Utilizing the formula is quick and easy. First, download the freebie card formula from this blog post. Next, gather papers from your stash. Trim and sort the papers; dry fit the pieces. Finally, gather your favorite stamps and inks to finish each card.

(The finished size of each card below is 4.25x5.5", unless otherwise noted.)
Card 1
Stamp the envelope with Tangerine Hybrid Ink; add the sentiment with India Ink. Trim the 1x8.5 scraps in half (1x4.25") to use as an anchoring strip on each card.
Card 2
Stamp the confetti popper with Fuchsia and the sentiment with India Ink. Add a few Starry Night Gold Dazzles for a bit of sparkle.
Card 3
Stamp the fireworks image with Leaf and the sentiment with India Ink. Wrap green satin ribbon around the corner of the matted panels and secure to the back with clear tape. Tie a smaller piece of ribbon around the first with a simple knot to complete the card.
Card 4
Stamp the popsicles diagonally across the white panel with Fuchsia, Tangerine, Yellow, and Leaf Inks. Add the sentiment with India Ink to complete the card.
Card 5
Spritz the fireworks image lightly with water. Scribble the raised areas of the image with watercolor pencils*.

Press gently onto the white panel to transfer the color. Let dry completely before moving on to the next step.
Wrap the corner of the matted panels with wide pink ribbon (from my stash). Adhere the ends to the back with clear tape.
Nest the panels onto the card base to complete the card.
Card 6
Mist the rainbow stamp lightly with water.
Scribble the surface of the image with watercolor pencils.
Add the image to a white panel, letting it dry completely before moving on to the next step.
Stamp the sentiment below the rainbow with India Ink. Add a double loop of green ribbon below the sentiment.
Secure the ends of the ribbons to the back of the black panel with clear tape.
Add the matted panels to the front of the folded card base.
ATCs
Stamp the envelope image onto the white panels with Fuchsia, Tangerine and Yellow Ink. Adhere each stamped panel to a black mat.
Remove the tiny heart from the center of each Round Mini Tag.
Thread two strands of black jute through the center of the heart. Wrap the ends around the back of the black panel and secure with clear tape.
Place the reserved hearts onto a protected work surface. Ink one each of the hearts with Fuchsia, Tangerine and Yellow Hybrid Ink.
Add Bookbinding Glue to the back of each heart and adhere to the envelope image as shown.
Adhere the matted panels to each 2.5x3.5" ATC base, matching up the corresponding colors.
