Create super simple cards with the Freeway stamps. Pair these fun, masculine images with the cool, subtle paper colors of the collection.
The finished size of each card below is 4.25x5.5", unless otherwise noted.
Cards Featuring the Freeway Stamps
Looking for ink colors to complement the August color palette? We recommend pairing the Freeway Stamps with Ash, Caramel, and Lt. Blue CS® Hybrid ink, as well as India Ink.
Card 1
Stamp the speedometer with India Ink onto a white panel. Add the sentiment below in Caramel Ink. Position the needle image over the speedometer. Pick up the stamp with the lid of a stamp platform.
Add the image over the speedometer in India Black Ink. Gather two lengths of gray satin ribbon and a hexagon charm.
Thread one ribbon through the charm and adhere to the back of a panel with clear tape.
Repeat for the second piece of ribbon.
Ensure that both sets of ribbon ends are secured on the back of the gray panel with clear tape.
Adhere the panel on a black mat and add to a folded Gold card base.
Card 2
Stamp the map image on a white panel in Caramel Ink.
Add the sentiment to the left of the image in India Ink.
Place the panel on a craft mat. Cut a 7" piece of gold ribbon.
Make a slit in the white paper wide enough for the ribbon to slide through on either side of the stamped map image.
Slide the gold ribbon through the front of the panel and come out the slit on the opposite side as shown.
Secure the ends of the ribbon on the back of the white panel with clear tape.
Adhere the panel centered on a folded Black card base.
Card 3
Place a scored Gray card base in a gear embossing folder. Position the folder along the score line. Place clear plate over the folder next to the score line and run through the machine. Check your manufacturer's manual for "sandwich" instructions.
Add the map images on a white panel with Lt. Blue Ink. Repeat the stamping until the panel is covered with the images.
Add the large sign image on a Blue panel with Ash Ink.
Place the chosen sentiment on the sign in a stamp platform.
Pick up the stamp with the lid on the platform.
Add Ash Ink to the image and stamp on the sign.
Position the desired numerals on the sign and pick up with the lid.
Add Ash Ink and stamp on the sign.
Layer the map print on a Blue panel. Add rounded corners to the sign and adhere to complete the card.
Card 4
Create a background with the route sign on a Gold panel with Caramel Ink. Remember to allow the stamped images to "fall off" the edges of the paper to mimic a "real" print.
Stamp the sentiment on a white panel with Lt. Blue Ink. Position the sign over the stamped sentiment.
Add the sign to the panel with Lt. Blue Ink.
Add a desired numbers to the sign with Lt. Blue Ink. Fussy Cut the sign with scissors.
Thread a small length of gold ribbon through a gear charm and staple to secure. Add Bookbinding Glue dispensed from a Needle-tipped applicator on the back of the charm.
Adhere the charm to the exit sign as shown to complete the card.
Card 5
Stamp the speedometer images in Lt. Blue Ink in a repeating pattern to cover a white panel. Add all of the needle images in Caramel Ink. Distress the edges of the panel with more Caramel Ink.
Apply Lt. Blue Ink to the words Thank You on the sentiment. I intentionally omitted the word City.
Stamp the sentiment on a Blue panel.
Trim the Blue panel and adhere on a Black Tag.
Flip the tag over and punch the hole from the Blue panel.
Thread a length of gold ribbon through the hole in the tag.
Wrap jute around the gold ribbon and tie in a knot.
Trim the ends to neaten things up.
Cut tiny little arrows out of scrap papers. Add Bookbinding Glue dispensed from Needle-tipped applicator to the back of the arrows and adhere above the sentiment.
Create a collage of Blue and Gray strips in varying widths. Layer the elements over loops of jute to complete the card.
Card 6
Stamp the map images in Lt. Blue, Ash, Caramel, and India Black Inks on four white panels.
Fussy cut a unique color square from each panel to represent one of the four areas of the image.
Adhere the squares on a white panel as shown. Layer on a Gray panel. Trim two lengths of gray ribbon and perform a double loop technique. Secure the ends of the ribbons on the back of the gray panel.
Stamp a route sign on white paper with Lt. Blue Ink.
Position the CELEBRATE sentiment on the top of the sign.
Stamp the image on the sign with Ash Ink.
Position the numbers in the sign and stamp with Ash Ink.
Fussy cut the sign with scissors.
Add small strips of Foam Adhesive Circles to the back of the sign as shown.
Remove the backing strips and adhere over the looped ribbons on the panel to complete the card.
Card 7
Gather the stamped map images reserved from Card 6. Stamp the sentiment in India Ink on one of the Lt. Blue squares.
Fussy cut the Caramel, Ash, and Lt. Blue (stamped with the sentiment) map squares with scissors. Adhere on a Gold strip leaving a 1/8" space around the perimeter and between each square. Mat the Gold strip on white panel that has been embossed for added texture. Trim pieces of jute and glue behind a metal gear embellishment to complete the card.
