Make interactive cards featuring a fun pop-up with the 5x7 Wiper Card Formula. You may have seen this card structure in the past, but Tricia's efficient trimming instructions and streamlined assembly techniques make creating them faster and easier than ever!

Flower Power Wiper Cards

To make four cards, you'll need to gather the card instructions, six coordinating 12x12 papers, cutparts (or stamps) and a few embellishments. All of our page kits (and many card kits) feature twelve sheets of paper, giving you everything you need to complete eight cards - simply run through the formula twice. I chose to pair the Flower Power Card Kit with the 5x7 Wiper Card Formula to complete the cards below.

Card Making Tips

Begin by separating the twelve papers from the kit into two piles of six - one of each print and plain. Next, follow the cutting and scoring instructions. Sort the trimmed elements into piles, dealing out all the pieces necessary to complete each of the four cards. Assemble each card structure, adhering everything except the sentiments. Repeat the previous steps with the second set of papers.

Once the cards are assembled, sort the Cutaparts into pairings that will complete a greeting. Trim the cutaparts as necessary to fit the front of the card and the panel on the wiper mechanism. Add embellishments last, making sure you've evenly distributed them among all eight cards.

Set A

Make use of scraps to create an accent for the trimmed sentiment. Attach a flower appliqué with BBG. Apply a trio of dots from the Silver Flower Dazzles sticker sheet.

Set B

Attach the "hippie birthday" sentiment with Foam Adhesive Circles.

Silver Flower Dazzles create a fun accent on the anchoring strip.

Visually fill the space to the right of the cropped sentiment with two interlocking lengths of ribbon.

Careful trimming divides the "old age" sentiment into two sections. Fussy cut the butterfly and attach with foam adhesive.

I hope you'll give this card structure a try. Once you start making these fun wiper cards, it's hard to stop! The interactive pop-up feature is sure to make any recipient smile. Choose papers and embellishments to create cards for any reason or any season!
