2018 Retreat guests were given a "welcome folio" upon arrival that contained information for the weekend. Several attendees asked to learn how to make one, so here we go!
Begin with a budget manila file folder from your favorite office supply store. Gather a ScorPal, 3x14" CS® Grid Ruler, adhesive, washi tape, hook and loop dots, and the Gone Wild Page Kit. Relax, grab a snack, and watch the magical folio-making process!
Decorate the front cover of the completed folio with papers, cutaparts, circle die cut, and giraffe charm from the Gone Wild collection.
Tie a small waxed linen bow onto the giraffe charm and secure to the front cover with CS® Bookbinding Glue.
Add a portion of the zebra image from the 12x12 Dk. Brown Print to the back cover.
Next, create elements for each pocket and surface on the inside of the folio. The world is your oyster! Create tabs and decorative corners to mimic the original file folder with an Envelope Punch Board by We R Memory Keepers.
Use the folio as a miniature scrapbook for a trip to Disney's Animal Kingdom, the zoo, a hiking trip, etc. There are plenty of surfaces available for photos, journaling and memorabilia. Stitch several folios together to make a larger book.
Finally, don't forget to Pin the image below to your project idea board.
I'm off to go make more fun folios. See you on the wild side!
