The timing of the June kit theme couldn't have been more perfect. I was running low on cards to send my four year-old niece. The ones I made from the Farm Critters collection are sure to bring a smile to her sweet little face!

I try to participate in the challenges hosted on the Club Scrap Chat Facebook group each month. Completing these challenges is not only fun, but it helps me use up my stash. In addition, participating makes me eligible to win a Club Scrap gift certificate!

Farm Critters Idea Deck Cards

Did you know you can make more than just pages from Club Scrap kits? Combine the Farm Critters page kit and stamps with the 3 of Diamonds card making formula (Idea Deck 5) to create some really adorable cards.

Once you've completed the basic card structures, embellish each of them using elements from the page kit, including cutaparts, buttons and ribbons. Add texture to the card panels using embossing folders.

Bonus Cards

The cutting formula used above is designed for 8.5 x 11" papers. Because I started with a 12x12, I ended up with 3.5 x 6" strips left over. Folding each of these strips in half gave me four bonus cards. The 3 of Diamonds sketch from Card Making Idea Deck Volume 2 inspired my finished card designs.

I had such a great time making these cards. I think I giggled during the entire assembly process! I can almost hear my niece saying, "What's up chicken butt?" each time I use the stamp. I hope you enjoy playing with Farm Critters as much as I did!
