Coming Up Roses Stamps

Looking for the perfect Inks to pair with the Coming Up Roses stamps? We recommend Caramel, Carnation, Earth, Red, Yellow, Tangerine hybrid inks to coordinate with the April color palette.

(The finished size of each card below is 4.25x5.5", unless otherwise noted.)

Card 1

Stamp the large floral image onto an Ivory panel with Earth Ink.

Stamp the sentiment in India Ink.

Nest a .5x5.5" Dk. Brown onto a 1x5.5" Ivory strip. Cut a length of grosgrain ribbon, center over the Dk. Brown strip. Wrap the ends of the ribbon around the back, secure with clear tape.

Adhere the strip approximately one inch from the bottom edge of a Dk. Brown folded card base. Mat the stamped panel with Lt. Brown and Black card panels, adhere to the card front.

Stamp a sentiment onto an Ivory panel with India Ink. Adhere inside and accent with a rose-shaped Dazzles sticker.

Card 2

Stamp the rose image onto an Ivory panel with Red ink.

Add the sentiment to the right of the rose image with Earth Ink.

Wrap a 1x5.5" Ivory strip with the gold edged satin ribbon, wrapping the ends around the back, secure with clear tape. Add the strip to a Dk. Brown folded card base. Mat the stamped panel with Red and Black, center onto the front of the card.

Card 3

Stamp the large floral image onto an Ivory panel with Carnation Ink.

Add the sentiment with Earth Ink. Mat with Dk. Brown and add to the front of a Lt. Brown folded card base accented with Red and Dk. Brown nested strips.

Card 4

Stamp the daisy image onto an Ivory panel with Earth Ink. Add the sentiment with India Ink. Adhere to an Orange panel. Wrap a 5" length of gold edged satin ribbon around the corner of the panels.

Secure to the back of the panels with clear tape.

Mat the Orange with a Dk. Brown mat and add to the front of the card. Embellish the stem of the flower image with leaf-shaped Dazzles.

Card 5

Stamp rose images repeatedly onto an Ivory panel with Caramel Ink.

Add images until the entire panel is covered.

Add a Red panel over the stamped images. Cut two lengths of ivory ribbon.

Cross the ribbons and wrap the ends around the back of the stamped panel, secure with clear tape.

Stamp a sentiment onto Ivory with Red Ink. Trim into a square, mat with Dk. Brown.

Add the daisy flower image to a Scalloped Tag with Earth Ink.

Add Ivory ribbon to the tag and tie into a bow. Adhere all elements to the front of the card.

Card 6

Place the large floral image onto the lid of a stamp positioning tool. Apply a bit of Caramel Ink to the image and stamp onto an Ivory panel. Note: I intentionally left some areas of the image free of ink.

Open the lid on the positioning tool and apply Carnation Ink, stamp onto the panel over the first layer of Caramel Ink.

Repeat the steps above with a layer of Red and Earth Ink to fill in the image.

Add the sentiment with Earth Ink, center onto a Red folded card base.

Card 7

Dust a Dk. Brown panel with a anti-static powder tool*. Place the panel into a stamping platform.

Stamp the small rose image onto the panel with Watermark Ink.

Cover the image with gold embossing powder, remove the excess and heat set to melt.

Add the sentiment beneath the rose image using the steps above to emboss in gold.

Fill a water brush with household bleach. Carefully paint the area inside petals of the embossed flower. Note: The bleach removes color from the Dk. Brown paper revealing a lovely reddish-pink hue as it dries.

Remove a rose branch strip from the Dazzles sheet, trim into smaller sections.

Adhere to the gold edged ribbon as shown.

Wrap the red ribbon around a 1x5.25" Lt. Brown strip, securing the ends to the back with ATG tape.

Cut a 3.5x4.75 Red panel and mat with a 4x5.25" Ivory. Adhere the Lt. Brown strip 1" from the left edge using a grid ruler as a guide.

Nest the embossed and bleached panel onto an Ivory mat. Position foam strips to the back as shown, leaving space for the ribbon.

Remove the backing from the foam strips, center onto the card panels and add to folded Lt. Brown card base.

Card 8

Stamp the daisy onto a Dk. Brown panel with White Pigment Ink.

Add the sentiment to an Ivory panel with Caramel Ink.

Cut the sentiment with a scalloped edge circle die. (Visit our Amazon Affliate* store for a similar set of nesting scalloped circle dies.)

Add a foam adhesive circle to the back of the die cut shape.

Loop a 5" piece of grosgrain ribbon, position it underneath the sentiment, remove the backing from the foam circle, and adhere next to the daisy image to complete the card.
